What is Pieces Play Lab?
Pieces Play Lab is a play-based ABA social learning program located inside Rock the Spectrum, designed primarily for children ages 2–9, with expanding programs for early intervention and older age groups. At Pieces Play Lab, our tagline says it best--where play meets progress. We believe every child is capable of making meaningful progress toward their goals when provided with the right support, environment, and opportunities to learn. Our programs combine evidence-based ABA strategies with engaging, play-based experiences. Through a balance of structured activities and natural interactions, children develop essential skills in a way that is both effective and motivating. Sessions are intentionally designed to be playful but purposeful, incorporating movement, peer interaction, and hands-on activities. A typical session includes a combination of circle time, structured games, collaborative play, and movement using gym equipment to support engagement and learning.
Children at Pieces Play Lab develop skills in:
  • Social interaction across all levels (peer engagement, turn-taking, understanding social cues)
  • Communication and relationship-building
  • Emotional understanding and regulation
  • School readiness (participating in circle time, following group instructions, learning in a group setting)
  • Executive functioning skills (organization, flexibility, memory)
  • Foundational play and social engagement skills for younger children

Flexible Service model
  • Insurance-based ABA services
    (in-home and center-based hybrid)
  • Insurance-covered social groups
for children with an autism diagnosis
  • Private pay enrichment groups open to all children, with no diagnosis required

At Pieces Play Lab, we focus on more than skill acquisition—we support children in learning how to engage, participate, and succeed in everyday environments.

While insurance coverage is limited to children with an autism diagnosis, our private pay programs allow us to extend high-quality, play-based social learning opportunities to a broader range of children and developmental needs. Small group sizes and individualized support ensure that each child receives targeted intervention while also building meaningful peer relationships.

Why Parents Choose Pieces Play Lab
