Rebecca Mueller, MA, BCBA, COBA

Owner, Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant

I am a mom, wife, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master’s degree in Education & Special Education from Columbia University Teachers College, specializing in Applied Behavior Analysis. My experience spans public and private schools, where I have worked as both a teacher and behavior analyst, as well as hospital, clinic, and home settings, serving as a coordinator and supervisor.

I specialize in helping children develop the foundational skills they need to communicate, learn, play, and become more independent. One of my favorite parts of being a BCBA is finding creative ways to teach and motivate each child based on their individual strengths, interests, and learning style.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cincinnati. My experience in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) began in 2017, when I worked in a residential home serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Since then, I have gained valuable experience working with children and families across school, clinic, and home settings.

I focus on supporting children as they build meaningful skills that help them communicate their wants and needs, engage in learning and play, and gain greater independence in their daily lives. My favorite part of my job is knowing that each day brings new opportunities for growth and learning. Every child is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and goals, and I love being part of their journey as they learn new skills and reach their potential.

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, playing recreational volleyball, and exploring the trails of Northeast Ohio with my dogs.

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

I'm a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) with a Master of Science degree and experience supporting learners across schools, clinics, and home settings, as well as through academic tutoring. This range allows me to see the whole picture of a child's needs and build strategies that carry over into every part of their day.

I specialize in socio-emotional learning, helping kids build the skills to understand emotions, connect with others, and navigate everyday challenges. I'm equally committed to training parents and staff, because lasting progress happens when the people around a child feel confident and equipped to support them.
My favorite part of being a BCBA is watching children's abilities and communication grow. Every new skill, word, or moment of connection is a reminder of why I do this work.

The Story Behind Pieces Early Learning

After working for various corporate-owned ABA companies, Rebecca became increasingly frustrated with the lack of individualized care, meaningful goal-setting, and true family involvement. She also saw firsthand how undervalued staff could become, leading to high turnover and burnout—factors that directly impact the quality of care children receive.

During COVID, Rebecca was in the process of developing an ABA program for a specialized school. When schools remained virtual, she realized it was the perfect opportunity to build the program and work environment she had always envisioned—one that prioritizes children, empowers families, and truly values the professionals providing care. That’s how Pieces Early Learning was born: a place where every child receives personalized, high-quality support and where staff are recognized as the heart of its success.

After five years of working closely with families in their homes, Rebecca saw how sleep challenges don’t just impact a child’s ability to learn and regulate their behavior—they can affect the entire family’s well-being. She noticed parents in mom groups frequently struggling with their children’s sleep and wanted to do more. To expand the support she could offer, not only to her clients but to the community as a whole, Rebecca enrolled in a sleep consultant certification program. Today, she is able to provide sleep guidance alongside behavioral support, helping families establish healthy sleep habits that can lead to better days and nights for everyone.
